You may or may not notice it but it’s incredible how often women professionals undermine our own accomplishments. It’s as if we believe diminishing or dismissing our accolades and growth is what will get us to the top. But it is NOT. So why do we continue to minimize our mastery?

It’s because we haven’t been taught or encouraged to translate and communicate our accomplishments, accolades and awards. It's imperative that we remind folks of our significant contributions.

It is evident that women professionals must do more to bolster ourselves appropriately. We often incorporate verbiage like “We only grossed $450k.” Instead of saying, “We grossed nearly a half a million while under my leadership.” The difference is how we position our success in our minds and how we communicate our worth to the minds of others!
